Interesting Observation from Davos

Some interesting insights observed from the discussions at the World Economic Forum in Davos so far:
  • At least 50.8% voted for overconfidence in the ability of markets to self regulate as the major cause for the present economic crisis
  • Corporate governance methods need to be remodelled
  • The newspaper industry is a dying industry as advertising is increasingly shifting form print to online
  • The capital required to initiate social entrepreneurship is often lower than that for conventional business
  • History shapes human being but our fantasies determines our future
  • Excessive reliance on models has been blamed for much of the financial crisis
